Youth Service Bureau, Inc
In 1970 the League of Women Voters began to study the possibility of an agency in Montgomery County to serve youth and their families in preventing juvenile delinquency. By September 1971, the Montgomery County Youth Service Bureau, Inc. (YSB) was in existence, with the active support of the Circuit Court. Since that time, the YSB has served more than 2,600 children and youth.
Costs and Funding
Thanks to the generous support of the Montgomery County community, through MUFFY, Montgomery County Community Foundation, businesses, County government, the Indiana Criminal Justice Institute, Montgomery County, and others, the YSB's services remain free. The Bureau is also funded by government grants through the Indiana Department of Child Services.
The Montgomery County Youth Service Bureau’s mission is to help young people become productive citizens through youth advocacy, community education, delinquency prevention, direct services and referrals.
Our Vision at the Youth Service Bureau is to have a community where all children and youth are respected, nurtured and protected.
